Nuggets and Pearls from the Home Front

I know I’m not the only one. Do you ever hear things coming out of your mouth and think, “I never thought I’d have to say that!” Several months ago I saw a blog post at Catholic All Year where she made some of her most common sayings into printable graphics, which were funny and adorable. I’m not an artist AT ALL, but the idea of immortalizing some of my memorable quotations has stuck with me.

Some of these made the cut because they’re just too crazy to believe. Others got a spot because I say them So. Many. Times. A Day.

Have you heard yourself saying crazy things lately? Leave a comment! For, as Mr. Bennet says, “For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?”

  1. I laughed out loud reading these!! Some of my current favorite is “There is no such thing as ‘fair,’ this house isn’t a socialist state.”

  2. Haha! I love these.
Strange things that I have found I have to say would include:
“We don’t wipe boogers on the wall.”
“Please don’t give the tampons to the doctor.” (He found my stash in the diaper bag and wanted to use them as a stamp…to give to everyone…strangers included.)
“Stop eating the Chapstick.” (You’d think after the first taste they would figure this one out on their own, but no.)

  3. Get the carrot out of your eye!
