Bump Watch

From February 18:

Last week I analyzed my figure in the mirror and felt positive that my diet was achieving the desired effect of flattening my stomach.

Thursday morning I thought, “I’m a couple of days late…think I’ll pee on a stick soon.”  Thursday evening, my tummy was distinctly round.

I immediately thought of Bella Swan and mentally reviewed the past few weeks to make sure I couldn’t have inadvertently conceived a half-vampire child that could account for this rapid stomach swelling.

But, no.  I can only assume that those stomach-sucking-in muscles, weary from weeks of working such valiant overtime,  heard the possibility of “pregnant” and gave up.

From April 4:

So that was six weeks ago.  The roundness is definitely here, and I think the jury is still out on whether it’s due to the lingering effects of that second pregnancy, those late-night bowls of ice cream, or my still-on-vacation abs.  But we’ll just say it’s the first signs of the little guy we’re calling Baby Tres, who we’re hoping to meet face-to-face this October!

I swear I have been wondering for the past several days ( and almost called to ask) if you were pregnant…and I haven’t even seen you!
We need another phone date soon! ( I could use some motherhood wisdom.)
